ELIGIBILITY
- Open to VSGA members who have not reached their 19th birthday by July 8, 2025 and did not graduate high school prior to 2025.
- All participants must hold an active GHIN number issued by a licensed VSGA member club in good standing.
- All participants must meet the USGA Rules of Amateur Status.

ENTRY FEE/DEADLINE
All players are required to submit an entry form with the entry fee of $165 by Monday, June 30, 2025.
- Entry fee includes all course fees for all rounds of competition.
- The VSGA will negotiate a discounted practice fee with host club.
FORMAT
CHAMPIONSHIP PROPER
- 54-hole stroke play competition (18 holes per day).
- The field will be cut to the top 45 players and ties following round two.
How do you get to the championship? You can earn a spot by any of the following ways:
Please note that as of 2024 there are no longer qualifiers for the Junior Stroke Play Championship.
- All eligible past Junior Stroke Play, Junior Match Play and Junior Circuit Champions
- 2024 VSGA Junior Stroke Play Championship top 20 players and ties
- 2024 Junior Stroke Play Championship Winner of the 15 and under age group
- All players advancing to match play of the 2024 VSGA Junior Match Play Championship
- Top five players and ties from a 2025 Junior Golf Circuit 36-hole tournament boys’ division
(October 2024-June 2025) - Eligible players qualifying for the 2025 VSGA Amateur Championship and/or State Open
- Any eligible player in the top 20 of the 2025 VSGA Junior Golf Circuit boys’ rankings as of June 24, 2025 that are not already exempt.
- Any eligible player who has previously qualified for the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship
- Up to three members of the host club (selected by club)
- The top three ranked juniors in the 2025 VSGA Men’s Player Rankings who are not already exempt as of June 24, 2025.
- 2024 VSGA Junior Golf Circuit Championship Boys’ Division top 10 players and ties
- 2025 MAPGA/VSGA Junior Four-Ball Championship top five sides and ties
PRIZES/EXEMPTIONS
Trophies will be given to the Champion and three low scorers in the 14-15 and 16-18 age groups. The Overall Champion also receives an exemption into the following:
- 2025 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship
- 2025 State Open of Virginia
- 2026 VSGA Amateur Championship
CADDIE INFORMATION
- Players may have a caddie, but he/she must meet the same age requirements for the tournament as the player.
